Local artisans/makers invited to apply for Homegrown Cleveland marketplace; tickets on sale for shoppers

CLEVELAND, Ohio – Clevelanders love to show their affinity for their hometown, especially with unique items created by local artisans right here in the 2-1-6.

Cleveland’s best artisans and makers are invited to showcase their unique wares at Homegrown Cleveland, a curated marketplace being held Nov. 3 at Red Space from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Red Space is located at 2400 Superior Ave. Tickets are available for the public to shop as well.

Homegrown Cleveland was created to celebrate what makes our community so unique, from Fortune 500 companies founded locally to the communities of business owners and makers who have grown their side hustles into full-time businesses.

Sourced from across Cleveland’s neighborhoods, shoppers will have the chance to purchase unique apparel, jewelry, ceramics, tableware, poster art and more.

Local food trucks also will be on site and samples will be served in the marketplace. Shoppers also can relax in the Sports Lounge where they can watch the day’s college football games. Kids aren’t left out either. They can join in on the fun in the Kid’s Corner.

How to apply to be a Homegrown Maker:

Homegrown Cleveland is searching for local artisans who will help create a diverse and interesting market. All items must be original and made by the individual artist. Applicants will be reviewed based on the quality, creativity, originality and branding of their items.

Secondary consideration will be given to maintaining an eclectic, complimentary mix of vendors and artisans who represent various Cleveland neighborhoods.

Makers can apply through through 11:59 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 12. All applications will be reviewed, and accepted applicants will be notified no later than Friday, Oct. 19. Vendor booths include an 8-foot x 8-foot space and electricity. The vendor fee is $275.
