CLEVELAND, Ohio - Flour in Moreland Hills has a special wine dinner set, Friends of WomenSafe will hold its annual wine benefit, and many other events are slated in Northeast Ohio. Wine-dinner prices often do not include tax or tip. Deadline to submit info is Thursday; email me. Cheers!

Through Sunday, Sept. 2: The Capital Grille’s annual The Generous Pour promotion will offer guests a tasting experience of seven selections of classic California and Washington varietals created by winemaker Dan Duckhorn and his winemakers. Cost is $28 with dinner. The Capital Grille is at 25389 Cedar Road, Lyndhurst.

AUGUST

Through Friday, Aug. 31: Corleone’s Ristorante is celebrating its 23rd anniversary. Wines that usually go for up to $40 per bottle will be $23. (Other specials include select entrees that normally cost $38-$45 will be $23, and $100 gift cards will come with a $23 bonus card.) Corleone’s is at 5669 Broadview Road, Parma.

Tuesday, Aug. 28: Townhall Cleveland will hold spirits school featuring Ketel One botanicals 6-8 p.m. Cost is $15 and includes nibbles. It’s at 1909 W. 25th St., Cleveland.

Thursday Sept. 13: Friends of WomenSafe is partnering with Adams Reserve Cheddar to host the ninth annual wine-tasting benefit 6-9 p.m. at Sharon James Cellars. Sample domestic wines and craft beers and munch on hearty appetizers. Tracer will perform. Includes chocolate fountain, 50-50 raffle, gift raffle, live auction and wine pull. Tickets are $35 ($25 for adults not sampling wine) and $50 for VIP, which includes paired samplings of appetizers and chocolates. FOW is a volunteer-driven group whose mission aims to generate unrestricted funds to support the work of WomenSafe, the domestic-violence shelter in Geauga County. Thursday, Sept. 13: The 12th annual Sips & Dips will be held at Collision Bend Brewing Co. 6-9 p.m. Tickets for the event – a benefit for UH Rainbow Babies & Children’s Hospital - cost $60 and include wine and beer samples from Wente Family Estates, M Cellars and Collision Bend and hearty appetizers from Collision Bend.
