CINCINNATI (AP) _ The Cincinnati Bengals signed cornerback Reggie Myles to a two-year contract on Saturday, moving him from the team's practice squad to the 53-player roster.

Financial terms were not disclosed. A message left with Myles' agent, James Cook, at his office in Hattiesburg, Miss., was not immediately returned.

Myles filled the roster spot of linebacker Armegis Spearman, who was placed on injured reserve Friday. Spearman sustained a high ankle sprain a week ago during a 30-24 loss to Tennessee. Spearman is out for the season, with his rehabilitation estimated at six-to-eight weeks.

Myles, 5-foot-11 and 185 pounds, played at Alabama and joined the Bengals as a rookie free agent after the 2002 draft. He played in all four of Cincinnati's preseason games and was waived Sept. 1. He was signed to the practice squad the next day.
