Food trucks popping up on Decatur streets
DECATUR, Ill. (AP) — Food trucks are making appearances on the streets of Decatur.
More than a dozen permits have been issued for Decatur food trucks. The Herald and Review reports (http://bit.ly/186U7YO) the trucks are serving foods like ribs, fish tacos, corn dogs and burritos.
Food trucks in Decatur need a Macon County food license, a Decatur temporary facility permit, a business identification number and power for the truck. Trucks are allowed to operate from March 15 to Nov. 30.
Pam Shelton runs a truck and she calls it her “own little restaurant on wheels.”
