ST. LOUIS — St. Louis’ land bank is facing pressure from city officials and residents to reduce its inventory of vacant properties as the agency struggles with staffing and limited funding. SENT: 355 words.

— DEADLY POLICE CHASE — A St. Louis man has been sentenced to 30 years in prison for a 2012 police chase that ended in a deadly crash in Hazelwood.

— MISSOURI RIVER RELEASES — The amount of water being released into the lower Missouri River will be temporarily reduced because of recent heavy rains in southeastern South Dakota and northwestern Iowa.
