February 15, 2019

DUNBAR, W.Va. - The 45th Annual Critter Dinner will take place Saturday, Feb. 16, at Dunbar Recreation Center, 2601 Fairlawn Ave. in Dunbar, West Virginia. Chefs are preparing anything that walks on four legs, crawls or swims. Some entrees this year will include turtle soup, shark bites, mountain oysters and crawfish along with all the fixins.

Council and friends will begin serving the food at noon, and continue until the food runs out, which is normally around 2 p.m. The cost for a plate is five non-perishable food items or cleaning supplies, or $5 cash donation. All proceeds go to the Dunbar Institute Samaritan Center. The Center is a nonprofit organization from the Dunbar and Institute area and assists hundreds of families within the area.
