Reds’ Williamson To Miss Start

September 13, 2000

CINCINNATI (AP) _ Scott Williamson has two broken toes on his right foot and will miss at least one start, Reds team physician Dr. Timothy Kremcheck said Tuesday.

Williamson (5-8) was scheduled to pitch Wednesday against the Chicago Cubs.

Kremcheck said Williamson bumped his foot on a door at his home Monday night.

``He wanted to pitch, but there’s no way,″ Kremcheck said. ``The second and third toes on his right foot are broken, and they are swollen and painful. We have them taped up, and we’ll see if he is able to throw on the side on Friday.″
