Former high school teacher pleads guilty to abusing students
GETTYSBURG, Pa. (AP) — A former Pennsylvania high school music teacher has pleaded guilty to multiple charges in a sex abuse case.
The York Dispatch reports 32-year-old Nicholas Oaster, of Penn Township, pleaded guilty Thursday to multiple charges including corruption of minors and summary harassment. As part of a plea agreement, felony charges were dropped. Oaster also surrendered his teaching license.
Oaster was arrested in May after Littlestown Senior High School administrators received reports about sexual abuse. Police say the abuse started in 2012 lasted until April 2017. Police say Oaster forced one student to perform oral sex on him in 2012. Investigators say Oaster assaulted and sexually harassed three other students.
Oaster is scheduled to be sentenced Feb. 5.
