Carolyn Meyer, 66, of Manteno, and formerly of Beecher, passed away Saturday (Aug. 4, 2018) in Tinley Park.
She was born Feb. 18, 1952, in Kankakee, the daughter of Donald and Rita Sheming (nee Arends).
Surviving are her father, as well as a son, Jason (Sarah) Meyer, of Lockport; daughter, Rachel (Steve) Anzelmo, of New Lenox; sisters, Nancy (Ed) Sheming, of Tinley Park, Marilyn (Steve) Howard, of Orland Park, and Karen Sheming, of Beecher; and four grandchildren, Kylee, Alivia, Jack and Ryan. A grandpuppy, Bailey, also survives; and a special friend, Jim Offerman.
Her mother preceded her in death.
Carolyn enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren as well as baking, playing bunco and sharing a love for dogs.
Visitation will be from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday Aug. 7, 2018, at Hack Funeral Home in Beecher. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 8, at St. Liborius Catholic Church in Steger, with the Rev. Rodger Kutzner officiating. Burial will be in St. John Cemetery in Beecher. A luncheon will be at St. John Church following the interment.
