Small Plane Crash in N.J. Kills 4

STAFFORD TOWNSHIP, N.J. (AP) _ A small plane crashed in a wooded area in southern New Jersey on Wednesday, killing four people, authorities said.

The wreckage of the plane, a single-engine Piper, was found off Route 72, police Capt. Charles Schweigart said.

The plane was registered to Aviron Aviation LLC, in North Plainfield, according to Jim Peters, a spokesman for the Federal Aviation Administration. No further information was immediately available.
