Smokeless Cigarette To Go On Market
SAN ANTONIO, Texas (AP) _ Favor, the smokeless cigarette manufactured by Advanced Tobacco Products, will be sold in Austin by the end of the week, company officials said.
The smoking device, which contains a nicotine solution, looks like a cigarette but does not burn.
Company Chairman Gerald Mazur said Tuesday that ATP chose Austin as its initial market and will move next into the Dallas-Fort Worth area.
Favor is not restricted from advertising on television as conventional cigarettes have been since 1971.
