Public meeting for Perry Creek Trail connection project to be held

SIOUX CITY -- The Sioux City Parks and Recreation Department will host a public meeting Oct. 11 to review and seek input on the Perry Creek Trail connection project.

The meeting will be held at 7 p.m. in the Council Chambers at City Hall, 405 Sixth St.

The proposed trail connection includes the construction of an 8-foot-wide trail along Hamilton Boulevard from Stone Park Boulevard to 36th Street/County Club North and the construction of 5-foot-wide bicycle lanes on each side of Hamilton Boulevard from 36th Street/County Club North to Outer Drive North.

Sioux City Parks and Recreation staff and consultants from Snyder and Associates, Inc. will discuss the proposed trail route during the meeting. A construction timeline has not yet been set for the project.
