AUBURN HILLS, Mich. (AP) _ Korie Hlede scored 16 points and added a career-high 13 rebounds to lead the Detroit Shock to a 72-57 victory over the Cleveland Rockers Saturday at the Palace.

Detroit (9-9) moved into a three-way tie for second place in the Eastern Conference with the Rockers and New York Liberty.

Hlede, a 5-foot-9 guard, has pulled down at least 11 rebounds twice in Detroit's last four games. Cindy Brown matched Hlede's 16 points, while Michele Edwards topped Cleveland with 13.

Detroit led 32-26 at the half, then opened the second with a 6-2 run to go up by 10. Hlede scored four of the points with two jumpers.

Cleveland closed to 40-33, but the Shock scored the next six to boost their margin to 13 points and weren't threatened again.

The Shock jumped to a 25-16 lead by hitting five 3-pointers in the first 10 minutes. Cindy Brown had two, leading Detroit to its halftime lead with nine points.
