Procrastinating Nebraska holiday shoppers still have time to get the goods
OMAHA - Time is ticking and that holiday shopping list keeps getting longer.
Consumer expert Justine Santaniello says there is help for Nebraskans who procrastinate. She says you can get a lot done by spending an hour on the computer.
Santaniello says, “You definitely will want to take advantage of online shopping. That is a procrastinator’s best friend. So many outlets have fast, free shipping and free returns.”
If you are looking for good deals, Santaniello says most retailers will be offering great specials through December 25th. Again, make sure to go online. Many retailers are offering their best deals online so do a bit of price comparing before making that big purchase.
For those who are stumped on what to get that hard to buy for person on your list, Santaniello says you can’t go wrong with a gift card. She says, “It doesn’t have to be the standard American Express or Visa gift card that doesn’t show you put any thought into it. You want to keep an ear out for places they frequent in their neighborhood. What services do they like to use and then give a gift card for that specifically so it still looks like you put the thought in.”
That can be easily personalized by giving a gift card to their favorite craft store, retailer or spa. One great idea is give a young couple a gift card to a movie theater and restaurant so they can have a night out.
