Waters Chairman and CEO Berthiaume plans to retire
MILFORD, Mass. (AP) — Waters Corp., which makes products used in drug discovery and development, said Tuesday that Chairman and CEO Douglas Berthiaume plans to retire within the next two years.
Berthiaume, 64, became president and CEO of Waters in 1994, when the company separated from Millipore Corp. He became chairman in 1996.
Waters said its board has appointed a succession planning committee that will help choose a replacement for Berthiaume. It plans to engage an executive search firm and will consider candidates from inside and outside the company.
Its shares finished at $99.44 on Monday.
