Richard Peterson

November 22, 2018

The family of Richard Peterson is celebrating his 90th birthday on Dec. 3. His children, Mike (Donna) Peterson of Brookings, S.D., Sandy (Larry) Harvey of Lincoln, Karen (Robert) Kahler of Denver, Colo., Julie (Scott) Fisher of Grand Island and Dick (Connie) Peterson of Nashville, Tenn., and grandchildren will celebrate with him. He is not only a wonderful father but loved our mother, Kay, so very much.

In his late teens, he had a real love of baseball and was very good at it. He had an opportunity to try out for the St. Louis Cardinals pro-team.

Richard spent many enjoyable years in his profession of beekeeping and a producer of honey. Richard also gave to his community serving on school boards, was president of the Madison Chamber of Commerce and service as a state senator. He was elected as a delegate to represent Nebraska at the National Republican Convention in Detroit. He also had the privilege to meet President Ronald Regan on two different occasions.

Besides his love of his family and many friends he is proud of his faith and his patriotism to our flag and this country. Best wishes may be mailed to 55275 833 Road, Norfolk, NE 68701.
