NEW ORLEANS (AP) _ Leslie Johnson scored 20 points to lead Western Kentucky to an 89-60 Sun Belt Conference victory Monday over the University of New Orleans.

Kristi Hartley added 16 and reserve Sha'Ronda Allen 10 for Western Kentucky.

Leading 44-43 with 16:11 remaining in the game, Hartley scored seven of the first nine points in the decisive run for the Lady Toppers. Johnson also scored six points in the spurt as the Lady Toppers (18-6, 7-1) held the Privateers without a field for seven minutes.

New Orleans (9-9, 5-2) was led by freshman Stephanie Kindreich, who scored 14 of her 18 points in the first half. Amber Magner hit four 3-pointers for the third consecutive game and finished with 17 points for the Privateers.

New Orleans made eight 3-pointers in the contest, but converted on just 20.5 percent of a school-record 39 attempts. The Privateers shot 19 of 70 (27.1 percent) from the field in the game.

Western Kentucky was 32-61 (52.5 percent) from the floor and outrebounded New Orleans 57-33.
