Tottenham beats Leicester 2-1 in Premier League
LEICESTER, England (AP) — Christian Eriksen scored the winning goal in the 71st minute to give Tottenham a 2-1 victory over last-place Leicester and extend the host’s winless run to 13 games in the Premier League.
Eriksen scored with a long-range strike to give Tottenham its third straight win. Harry Kane had put the visitors ahead from close range in the opening minute, before Leonardo Ulloa equalized in the 48th.
Riyad Mahrez nearly put Leicester ahead with a free kick that hit the bar before Eriksen’s strike ensured that Nigel Pearson’s side remained five points adrift in last place.
