Video game system stolen

Someone stole a PlayStation 4, controller and game valued at $310 from a home in the 400 block of Berlin Plank Road, according to Somerset Borough police.

The theft occurred on Dec. 7, but the victims, Brandi Johnson and Donald Young, did not report it immediately because they believed they knew who took the gaming device, police said. The theft remains under investigation.

Tires flattened

Somerset Borough police are investigating a case of criminal mischief in the 200 block of East Race Street.

James Lantz, of Jennerstown, told police that someone may have slashed tires on his vehicle and his girlfriend Lindsey Ohler’s vehicle. Police found flat tires on a white Ford F-150 and a gray Ford Taurus.

Lantz told police that the incident occurred sometime between 9 p.m. Friday and 8 a.m. Saturday. The tires appeared to have been damaged using a circular tool such as a screwdriver, according to police.
