NASHUA, N.H.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Nov 29, 2018--Nrby, pioneer of location-based awareness and collaboration, today announced that Andrea Wegley has joined the company to lead North American sales . A 25-year cable industry veteran, Wegley is responsible for driving customer adoption of the Nrby mobile app and platform in cable, telco, and utility markets.

“Service providers are urgently looking to ways to improve operational efficiencies, cut costs, and boost service quality. Nrby has a powerful, proven, and incredibly easy to use solution for accomplishing this,” said Wegley. “When I saw Nrby in action, I was blown away by its cutting-edge technology, and how quickly it enables the kind of game-changing collaboration needed for real business impact. I’m excited about the many ways Nrby can help providers, and look forward to working with the company’s leadership to bring this important solution to the broader market.”

Nrby revolves around a simple concept: using a digital icon to instantly and consistently describe what is at a location, and immediately conveying that rich information to appropriate parties. Service providers leverage Nrby for a range of use cases, including plant and proactive maintenance, fixed asset management, temporary drops, and safety, with new uses regularly discovered as they deploy Nrby in innovative ways. Nrby’s customers consistently report that anyone who knows how to use a smartphone already knows how to use Nrby. And with no new equipment to buy or operate, it’s just as simple and cost-effective to deploy.

Wegley joins Nrby from Mega Hertz, where she was the Regional Vice President of Business Development. Previously, she held leadership positions in Sales and Business Development for Hitron Technologies and HPT Communications, LLC. Wegley had a long career at ARRIS, most recently as Regional VP US Central Region, overseeing $240M of annual revenues. She has earned industry awards, held a variety of board positions in different chapters of the Society of Telecommunications Engineers/Women in Cable, and earned a B.A. from the University of Colorado.

“Andrea is a highly accomplished sales executive with award-winning results. She has a record of driving adoption and revenue, with outstanding sales leadership skills ranging from customer account management to business development,” said Kurt Dobbins, Founder and President, Nrby. “Her authenticity with customers along with her ability to engage customers in new, high-value products, will be an essential part of our growth this coming year.
