ANCHORAGE — An Alaska man charged with lying to law enforcement officers as they investigated the disappearance and death of a 10-year-old girl is scheduled to appear in federal court in Anchorage. By Rachel D’Oro. UPCOMING: 450 words by 5 p.m.



JUNEAU — Wildlife officials are working to capture a rogue rodent sighted on what’s supposed to be a rat-free island off the coast of southwest Alaska. The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service and local authorities have set up a camera and traps on St. Paul Island. SENT: 250 words.
