Vice President’s Mother Hospitalized With Back Problem

GREENWICH, Conn. (AP) _ Dorothy Bush, mother of Vice President George Bush, has been admitted to Greenwich Hospital for a recurring back problem, a hospital spokeswoman said.

Mrs. Bush was admitted Tuesday and was in good condition, said hospital spokesman Cindy Damato.

Bush’s wife, Barbara, visited her at the hospital, but Ms. Damato said she believed Bush did not.

The Bushes were in Connecticut for a fund-raiser.

The vice president’s mother resides in Greenwich.
