TORONTO (AP) _ New York Yankees right fielder Raul Mondesi returned to the lineup Monday, three days after crashing into an outfield wall.

While Mondesi chased Omar Vizquel's RBI triple in the 10th inning Friday that gave the Indians a 2-1 victory, Mondesi's right shoulder and head slammed into the wall.

He was motionless on the warning track for several minutes before walking over to a cart that drove him from the field.

X-rays of his chest and neck were negative, but he was too sore to play Saturday or Sunday.

Mondesi played his first game in Toronto since the July 1 trade to the Yankees. He entered Monday's game hitting .231 with one home run and six RBI in 26 at-bats with New York.
