NORTHRIDGE, Calif. (AP) _ Aaron Flowers threw for four touchdowns and ran for two more, and David Romines caught 18 passes for 219 yards and three scores Saturday night as Cal State Northridge beat UC Davis 56-31.

Flowers completed 29 of 40 for 369 yards, with two interceptions.

Romines, who had 10 receptions a week earlier in Northridge’s 57-27 defeat by Utah State, caught TD passes of 5, 22 and 4 yards from Flowers in the win over UC Davis (0-1).

Flowers also threw a 14-yard scoring pass to Jerome Henry and scored on runs of 1 and 3 yards.

Northridge (1-1) moved ahead to stay with three touchdowns in the second quarter, then extended its lead to 41-15 with two more TDs in the third.

Mark Grieb completed 21 of 38 for 318 yards for the Aggies, including TD plays of 86 yards to Brian Favors and 10 yards to Gerald Burgin. It was the first 300-yard passing game for Grieb, a senior.

Slot back Vince LaGatta had six catches for 59 yards for the Aggies (0-1) and also threw a 51-yard scoring pass to Aaron Bugarske.

Burgin also scored on a 2-yard run for the Aggies.
