Police investigating attempted child luring in Homewood
Pittsburgh police are investigating an attempted Oct. 15 child luring incident in Homewood.
The juvenile was walking home from a store when the child was allegedly approached by an older white man in a grey work van with curtains on the windows near Inglenook Place and Rosedale Street, according to police. The vehicle was described as having a loud exhaust.
The man asked if the juvenile wanted some candy. The child fled and reported the incident to a guardian.
The investigation is ongoing, and police have not yet made any arrests.
