MISSING WOMAN-COLORADO

DENVER _ Colorado police say they are searching the property of a missing woman’s fiance. The search of Patrick Frazee’s Florissant property began Friday morning, about three weeks after 29-year-old Kelsey Berreth was last seen. SENT: 130 words. Developing.

AUSTIN, Texas _ One tech giant strung dozens of North American cities through a circus-like contest that led mayors and governors to desperately pitch their regions _ and offer huge sums of public money _ in hopes of landing a gleaming new corporate campus. The other swept in quietly before making its big move. The outcome was largely the same: Amazon and Apple are running out of room in their West Coast hometowns and establishing a major foothold in a handful of U.S. cities already known as second-tier technology hubs. ANIMAS RIVER RESTORATION _ The restoration of the Animas River is underway, as Colorado Parks and Wildlife officials have poured 1,500 rainbow trout into the river.

GIRAFFE DEATH _ Zoo officials say the oldest giraffe in North America has died in Colorado Springs after her health rapidly declined. The Gazette reports the 32-year-old reticulated giraffe named Tamu died Thursday at Cheyenne Mountain Zoo.
