NEW BRITAIN, Conn. (AP) _ A 30-yard Chris Longo field goal and the second of two touchdowns from sophomore running back Archie Wannamaker in the fourth gave Robert Morris a 44-21 win over Central Connecticut on Saturday.

Wannamaker finished with 104 yards on 17 carries and touchdown runs of five and 15 yards.

The Colonials (3-1) opened the scoring six minutes into the first quarter as Wannamaker capped a six-play drive, plunging into the end zone from five yards out. Ralph Clark then caught a nine-yard touchdown pass from senior quarterback Jack Newman with 4:43 left.

Central Connecticut (2-2) got on the board in the second quarter as sophomore quarterback Keith Toolan drove the Blue Devils 74 yards in five plays.

Toolan completed 15 of 29 passes for 159 yards before re-injuring his shoulder. Junior quarterback Darryl Taylor came in after Toolan's exit and carried the ball 13 times for 58 yards. Taylor was 2-of-6 for 60 yards and a touchdown.
