Sri Lanka opts to bat in 2nd ODI vs. South Africa
COLOMBO, Sri Lanka (AP) — Sri Lanka captain Dinesh Chandimal won the toss and elected to bat first Tuesday in the second one-day international against South Africa.
After their crushing 180-run win in the series opener last Saturday, the Sri Lankans fielded an unchanged lineup for the match at R. Premadasa Stadium.
South Africa opening batsman Hashim Amla sat out the first match due to injury but returns to replace Colin Ingram, who was dismissed on the first ball of the game. The visitors have persisted with two specialist spinners in Robin Peterson and Aaron Phangiso.
There are three more matches left in the series.
