Ennoo, Polanco Pace LHS

DUDLEY — Leominster’s Joachim Ennoo won the triple jump and Jonathan Polanco took first place in the 800-meter run to lead the Blue Devils at Saturday’s Mid-Wach A track and field championships at Shepherd Hill Regional High School.

Placing second for Leominster was the 4x400 relay team of Ivan Polanco, Jacob Soulliere, Ennoo and Polanco. Fifth-place finishers were Felipe Garcia (100 dash), Eddie Siaw (400) and Francis Nuamah (100-meter high hurdles).

Girls’ track

LEOMINSTER PLACES FIFTH — Arianna Constant finished second in the javelin to lead Leominster High School to a fifth-place team finish at the Mid-Wach A track championship in Dudley. Also for the Blue Devils, Trishannah Scott finished third in triple jump (34 feet, 4 inches), and Ava McDonald placed sixth in the javelin.

WACHUSETT 9, Leominster 2 — Isabella Gasbarro drove in two runs for Leominster (7-7) in defeat.

Boys’ lacrosse

HOPEDALE 12, St. Bernard’s 7 — Hopedale 12, St. Bernard’s 7 St. Bernard’s tasted defeat for the first time this season with Friday’s hard-fought loss. Mick Ginnity finished with five goals and one assist for the Bernardians (12-1).
