Huntington kicks off ‘Turkey Day’ with Turkey Trot

November 23, 2018

HUNTINGTON — Before stuffing themselves with turkey and mashed potatoes, some Huntington residents burned off some calories during the annual Thanksgiving morning Turkey Trot 5K run and walk.

The race started in Ritter Park and wound its way to the Memorial Arch at 7th Street West.

Runners of all kinds, including those with four legs, were welcome. Proceeds from the race will benefit Little Victories No Kill Animal Shelter. Participants were also encouraged to donate dog and cat food.

As always, participants had fun during the race by dressing up as turkeys and in other Thanksgiving-related garb.
