Overnight shootings in Pittsburgh leave 4 people wounded
PITTSBURGH (AP) — A series of shootings in Pittsburgh have left four people wounded.
The first occurred just before 3 a.m. Friday. Police responding to reports of shots fired in the Cultural District found a man shot in the back. He was taken to a hospital and was in stable condition.
A short time later, police responding to reports of shots fired at the Hot Metal Bridge Faith Community Center found at least two bullet holes in the building. They soon learned a woman who apparently had been shot there was driven to a hospital in a private car riddled with bullet holes.
The third shooting occurred in the Allentown section. Officers responding to an alert from the city’s gunfire detection system found two wounded men, one who was struck in the arm and the other was hit in the leg.
