Lorraine E. Tourbier, 92, of Watertown, passed away on Tuesday, Jan. 29, 2019, at Park Ridge Assisted Living in Watertown.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 2 p.m. at St. Mark’s Lutheran Church in Watertown with the Rev. James Backus officiating. Relatives and friends may gather at the church from 1 p.m. until the time of the service. Burial will be at the Lutheran Cemetery in Watertown. Memorials would be appreciated to St. Mark’s Lutheran Church or St. Mark’s Lutheran School.

Lorraine Ellen Nickels was born on Jan. 12, 1927, to George and Elsie (Eggert) Nickels in Watertown. She was a graduate of Watertown High School and married Milton Tourbier on June 28, 1947, at St. Mark’s Lutheran Church in Watertown. He preceded her in death and later she married Jacob Burbach on Sept. 26, 1981.

Lorraine worked at Johnson Controls in Watertown for many years. She volunteered countless hours at Marquardt Manor in Watertown and earned awards for her time. Lorraine knit and crocheted caps and scarves and donated them to those in need. She liked spending time at the senior center playing sheepshead.

Lorraine is survived by her three children: Randall (Eunice) Tourbier, Sherry (David) Roehl and Krisie (Edmundo) Martinez, all of Watertown; stepchildren: Jackie Schaefer of Madison, Jean Burbach of Watertown, Jim Burbach of Texas; five grandchildren, four stepgrandchildren, five great-grandchildren, three stepgreat-grandchildren; one brother, Lavern “Bud” (Ardis) Nickels of Watertown; other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Milton on May 17, 1970; husband Jacob on Aug. 21, 2013; and grandson Clint Tourbier.
