BOYS LACROSSE College dreams realized for Stamford’s Marciczkiewicz, Duquene

Rich DePretaMay 14, 2019

STAMFORD — The scoreboard isn’t the only place that determines the success of a high school sports team.

Defender David Marciczkiewicz and midfielder Eliel Duquene are among the 14 seniors on the 2019 Stamford High School boys lacrosse team.

And they top the list as all 14 Black Knight seniors will be attending college in the fall.

Marciczkiewicz was one of two Stamford High School athletes honored at the 36th annual CIAC Scholar-Athlete dinner back on May 5 at the Aqua Turf in Southington.

Duquene, whose brother Ben is a junior on the SHS boys lacrosse squad, was one of five Stamford High students to be awarded $7,500 scholarships for college at the 74th annual Stamford Citizens of the Year dinner.
