SHELTER NEEDS

The Huntington Cabell Wayne Animal Shelter is in need of volunteers and donations in order to assist in improving the lives of the 70 dogs and 70 cats currently in its care.

Their current needs include:

• Aluminum Kuranda beds (can be purchased at https://kuranda.com/donate/13537)

• Cat litter

• Wet cat food

• Dog treats/food

• Surge protectors

• Utility sink

• Garage door with windows (for cat room)

• AC & heating unit for garage (for cat room)

Volunteers are needed on Sunday, Aug. 26, to help with a number of projects. Members of Louie’s Legacy Animal Rescue of Cincinnati will be at the shelter starting at 9 a.m. Sunday to help with cleaning and making shelter improvements.

Volunteers will also be needed to foster dogs for the day in order to make it easier the clean the facility.

The shelter is open from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Saturday.
