Rock Singer Eddie Money Arrested
LOS ANGELES (AP) _ Rock singer Eddie Money, who hit the Top 10 in the 1980s with ``Take Me Home Tonight,″ was arrested after allegedly fighting outside an apartment.
Money was arrested on suspicion of battery, Sgt. Kenneth Henkle said.
``He was taken into custody pending an investigation, but he’s been very cooperative with us,″ Henkle said.
The 49-year-old Money, a resident of Westlake Village, got into a fight at about 9:15 p.m. Sunday, Sgt. Christopher Vasquez said. He was released early today.
``Apparently he struck some individual,″ Vasquez said. ``I don’t know the particulars, what he was fighting over or anything else.″ He didn’t know if the other person was a man or a woman.
Money, a former New York City police officer who has a wife and five children, also scored in the Top 40 with ``Walk on Water,″ ``Two Tickets to Paradise,″ ``Baby Hold On″ and ``Maybe I’m a Fool.″
