Toilet Bowl to roll in 2019

HUSTISFORD -- The tradition of tossing rolls of toilet paper at passing parade floats continues with the Hustisford Toilet Bowl on New Year’s Day.

The annual event is sponsored by the Hustisford Community Hall Association and kicks off at 10:30 a.m. with brats on Lake Street. The Community Hall will also open to guests at 10:30 a.m. Lineup for the parade begins at 11:30 a.m. at the Hustisford Village Hall, 316 Tweedy St. with the parade beginning at noon.

There is no registration needed to enter the parade. There are cash prizes for first-, second- and third-place winners.

Following the parade there will be a coronation of Toilet Bowl king and queen. This year’s candidates are Kirk and Audra Mueller and Jesse and Tami Bischoff.

Starting at 1 p.m. the tug of war contest will take place on the baseball field. There will be five-person teams participating in both the men’s and women’s division. There is a $40 entry fee, but the winning team will get a 100 percent payout and a trophy.

There will also be water barrel fights at 1 p.m. at Firemen’s Park. They are sponsored by the Hustisford Fire Department.

There will be food served by the Lions beginning at noon and ending at 5 p.m. downstairs in the community hall. Music will also be provided from 1-5 p.m. by Mac Daddy Entertainment.

Raffle tickets are available to purchase from the candidates and area businesses.
