Pedestrian seriously injured after being struck by vehicle in Columbia Heights
A pedestrian was seriously injured Saturday night after being struck by a motorist in Columbia Heights.
Officers responded to the intersection of 40th and University avenues NE. just before 7 p.m. on a report of a crash involving a pedestrian, authorities said.
According to emergency dispatch audio, the pedestrian was taken to North Memorial Health Hospital in Robbinsdale in critical condition.
The driver stopped and is cooperating with police.
The Anoka County Sheriffs Office is investigating.
