Man arrested in woman’s shooting death in North Carolina
LEXINGTON, N.C. (AP) — A man has been arrested after a woman was shot to death at a home in North Carolina.
The Davidson County Sheriff’s office said in a news release that deputies were called to a home outside Lexington around 7:30 a.m. Sunday.
Sheriff David Grice said 45-year-old Gregory Laverne Kennedy of Lexington has been charged with murder.
Deputies called to the home found 50-year-old Wanda Taylor dead from a gunshot wound.
Grice said Kennedy lives in the home with Wanda Taylor’s sister.
Deputies have not released a possible motive. Kennedy is scheduled to appear in court Monday. There is no attorney listed for him yet.
