Woman shot in back in Bridgeport
BRIDGEPORT — A shooting on Birdseye Street sent a woman to the hospital Sunday evening, but city officials said her injuries didn’t appear life-threatening.
City spokesman Av Harris said the shooting happened around 6:10 p.m. in the 100 block of Birdseye Street. She was taken to St. Vincent’s Medical Center to be treated.
“She was shot in the back, however it does not appear to be life-threatening at this time,” Harris said in a release.
Detectives continue to investigate the shooting.
