Player of the week

Destiny Rodriguez, Judson: freshman, third baseman — Batted .571 with two singles, a double, home run and five RBIs as the Rockets defeated longtime power Smithson Valley and No. 1 New Braunfels Canyon. Her two-out double in the bottom of the seventh inning jump-started Judson’s come-from-behind 6-5 win vs. Smithson Valley and she drove in all three runs in a 3-0 decision vs. New Braunfels Canyon.

Game balls

Natalia’s Abigayle Woodson tossed a two-hitter and struck out 15 in her team’s 6-1 decision vs. Dilley.

Harlandale’s Raven Segovia hit two home runs in a win vs. Memorial and was the winning pitcher vs. McCollum.

Judson’s Emily Ayala went 2-0, including throwing a shutout vs. top-ranked New Braunfels Canyon.
