Police ID man whose found at wastewater treatment plant
JEFFERSONVILLE, Ind. (AP) — Police have identified a man whose body was found at a southern Indiana wastewater treatment plant.
Police say the body found inside a Jeffersonville wastewater treatment plant Wednesday was that of 42-year-old William E. Herald.
The Jeffersonville Police Department says an autopsy conducted Thursday determined there was no evidence of foul play in his death.
Plant employees discovered Herald’s body inside a wastewater oxidation ditch Wednesday morning.
The News and Tribune reports the plant is surrounded by fencing, with access restricted by gates and key-pad entry.
