Dale H. Arnolts, 74, of Manteno, passed away Thursday (Nov. 29, 2018) at Riverside Medical Center in Kankakee. He was born Sept. 1, 1944, at St. James Hospital in Pontiac, the son of Henry and Helen Trost Arnolts.
Dale worked for Roper Corp. for 17 years and was a mental health technician at Shapiro Developmental Center for 14 years. He also was a certified nursing assistant at the former Manor Care Nursing Home and Illinois Veterans Home at Manteno until his retirement.
Dale enjoyed bingo, playing cards, music and spending time with his family and friends. He was of the Catholic faith.
He is survived by one brother, Richard Arnolts; and aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins, all of Bloomington, Pontiac, Cullom, Columbus, Ohio, Kentucky and California. He also is survived by many close friends whom he considered family.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 4, until the 1 p.m. funeral service at Schreffler Funeral Home in Kankakee. A committal service will follow at Mount Calvary Cemetery in Kankakee. Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
