Bone found at Bridgeport’s Seaside Park
BRIDGEPORT — Police are working to determine if a bone found at Seaside Park Thursday afternoon is human.
The call came in at 3:43 p.m. The caller reported he believed it might be a human bone. A marine unit and at least one patrol officer responded to the scene. A Detective Bureau unit was dispatched at 3:50 p.m.
The bone was found near the P.T. Barnum statue, according to reports.
“We are still working on it,” said Police Capt. Brian Fitzgerald. “Not sure if it’s human at this point.”
Once more information becomes available, this story will be updated.
A similar incident happened in Milford back in December. Bones found on the shore of Silver Sands State Park were spotted by an off-duty West Hartford police officer who was walking on the beach. Police determined they were pig bones.
