Thunderstorms will be possible throughout the day in northeast Indiana and northwest Ohio, the National Weather Service said.
Because of the slow movement of the storms, locally heavy rainfall will pose the greatest threat, the weather service said in its outlook. It said gusty winds may be possible with the stronger storms.
In an area that includes Mercer County, Ohio, the weather service said areas of showers and thunderstorms today and tonight will contain very heavy rainfall rates that may lead to localized flooding in areas seeing repetitive storms or for areas saturated from recent rains. It said some storms today may contain damaging wind gusts, with the highest probability between 2 and 9 p.m.
