PASSADUMKEAG, Maine (AP) — Four people are facing charges after the alleged assault of a minor in Maine was shared hundreds of times on social media.

The Penobscot County Sheriff's Department received a complaint about the assault of a minor in the town of Passadumkeag July 3.

Authorities say they were able to identify the victim and the majority of those involved.

Four people face charges including assault and furnishing a place for minors to drink.
