November 22, 2018

STAMFORD — A 33-year-old Stamford was arrested Thursday morning and charged with kicking and punching his live-in girlfriend.

The man, Juan Perez, allegedly came home intoxicated and got into an argument with his 34-year-old girlfriend in front of their child at Perez’s Wilson Street home. Perez became “enraged,” according to police, beat his girlfriend, and dragged her into a bedroom and locked the door.

The woman escaped with the child through a window, went to a neighbor’s home, and called the police.

Perez was charged with second degree assault, unlawful restraint, and risk of injury to child, among other charges.
