‘ER’ Star’s Pregnancy a Surprise
RADNOR, Pa. (AP) _ ``ER″ star Ming-Na Wen might play a dedicated doctor on TV, but her own pregnancy was a shock.
``This was a surprise. Condoms don’t always work,″ Wen told TV Guide for the issue on newsstands Monday.
Wen, who is due Nov. 10, has been one of the principal stars on the top-rated NBC drama since fall 1999.
She said that although she was nervous to tell the producers about her pregnancy, they decided to write it into the plot.
``They were so supportive. (Executive Producer) John Wells was even saying, ’I think you might have slept your way into a really good story line,″ she said.
