Sheriff’s department reports more than 1,400 calls for July
WINFIELD — The Putnam County Sheriff’s Department during the month of July responded to 1,404 calls for assistance, and made 50 felony arrests and 61 misdemeanor arrests, according to a news release from Sheriff Steve Deweese.
The Road Patrol also investigated 61 auto crashes, and issued 18 misdemeanor citations. Furthermore, the Road Patrol arrested ten DUI’s and completed 187 written complaints; 41 warrants and 22 Domestic Violence Petitions were served in person.
Home Confinement averaged 40 inmates with 183 home verifications, and Western Regional Jail averaged 102 inmates per day.
The Process division served 375 civil papers.
The Tax Office accepted 70 concealed carry permits and issued 105 permits; 1,064 DMV decals were also issued.
