ANCHORAGE, Alaska (AP) _ A 5-year-old boy shot his brother to death following an argument over a video game, police said Friday.

Joseph Pitka, 7, died Thursday after his brother shot him once in the head with a .22-caliber rifle that had been left loaded in the house.

Trooper spokesman Greg Wilkinson said one adult, a friend of the family, was in the house at the time of the shooting but was sleeping. The brothers' 3-year-old sister was home.

The boys had been fighting over who got to play with a video game, police said.

Wilkinson said the younger boy, whose name was not released, will not be charged. But charges may be brought against adults in the case, he said.
