State police respond to pair of injury crashes Wednesday in Pocatello area
POCATELLO -- Two motorists were transported to Portneuf Medical Center Wednesday due to injuries sustained in separate accidents, one on Interstate 86 near American Falls and another on Interstate 15 near Fort Hall, Idaho State Police said.
State Police reported Chloe Longoria, 18, of American Falls, was transported by an ambulance to PMC following a 12:16 p.m. accident about 4 miles east of American Falls. Police said she was traveling eastbound in a 1995 Volkswagen Jetta that veered off the left shoulder into the median, where it rolled. Police said she was wearing a seatbelt.
Police said Ashlie Ray, 22, of Pocatello was transported to PMC by ambulance following a two-vehicle crash at 6:14 p.m. on I-15, about a mile north of Fort Hall. Police said Ray was driving a 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee behind a Kenworth semi pulling a flatbed trailer, driven by Joseph Scholz, 66, of Shoshoni, Wyoming. Police said the Jeep struck the semi from behind and came to rest along the right shoulder. She was also wearing a seatbelt.
Police said both accidents are under investigation.
